The year 2024 kicked off just a few weeks ago, and for Ashley Park, 32, it's been a real challenge. The actress shared on Instagram that she's been recovering in the hospital after her tonsillitis turned into a critical septic shock during a vacation.
Known for her roles in "Emily in Paris" and "Beef" on Netflix, Ashley revealed that multiple organs were affected and faced complications. The good news is, she's on the mend: "I'm grateful that my health has improved, contrary to what we were initially told."
In the midst of this tough time, Ashley found unwavering support from Paul Forman, her rumored beau and co-star. Confirming their relationship with a heartfelt post, she expressed gratitude, saying, "I am most grateful to Paul Forman for his unconditional support throughout this time." Paul stood by her side during ambulance rides, in foreign hospitals, a week in the intensive care unit, and nerve-wracking emergency rooms, even in unbearable pain. All of this, while they were "alone on the other side of the world, far away from those we know." Ashley didn't hold back, declaring her love for Paul, saying, "I love you, Paul. More than I can ever say"
Initially hesitant to share her journey while still in recovery, Ashley now feels confident that the worst is behind her: "I'm healing and I promise that I'll be fine again."
